The Card Lounge
The Card Lounge at Poker Marina Portlin Coln is a premium, atmospheric environment designed for players who value focus, comfort, and the character of a real offline poker venue. Located at 27 Lonsdale Street, Braddon ACT 2612, it offers an intimate alternative to the main poker room, with premium furnishings, low lighting, and a dedicated poker experience.
The Lounge Experience
The Card Lounge is engineered to minimize distractions and maximize concentration on the game. Acoustic treatments reduce ambient noise, lighting is tuned to reduce glare on cards and chips, and seating is ergonomic for long sessions. Every element works together to keep your attention on the table.
Every surface and furnishing is chosen for quality and durability, reflecting the venue's commitment to a premium poker experience. Mahogany wood accents and leather upholstery create a warm, tactile environment. Custom-built poker tables feature professional-grade felt, while brass details echo the brand's visual identity throughout the room.
With a limited number of tables, the Card Lounge offers a more private and exclusive poker environment. Fewer tables than the main poker room means less noise and more space for focused play. It is ideal for private groups and players who prefer a quieter atmosphere. Reservations are recommended to secure a seat.
Poker Games in the Lounge
The most popular poker variant, offered in both cash game and tournament formats. No-limit and fixed-limit variations are available, with regularly scheduled games. Texas Hold'em in the Card Lounge is suitable for intermediate and advanced players who want a focused, competitive table.
A high-action game for players who enjoy complex hand dynamics. Pot-limit Omaha is available on select nights, attracting serious players who appreciate deeper strategic decisions. Omaha is less common than Hold'em, making it a distinctive part of the Card Lounge offering.
A rotating selection of poker variants for variety and skill development. The mix includes games like Seven Card Stud and Razz, scheduled on a monthly basis. Mixed games are ideal for experienced players who want to test their abilities across multiple formats in a refined setting.
Lounge Amenities
The Lounge in Detail
The lounge features custom millwork, brass inlays, and a cohesive dark palette that echoes the venue's brand. Mahogany paneling and trim frame the room, while brass light fixtures and hardware add a refined accent. Felt green details appear throughout, reinforcing the poker-first identity.
Layered lighting creates a warm, focused atmosphere without glare on the tables. Pendant lights hang over each table, providing direct illumination for cards and chips. Dimmable ambient lighting fills the rest of the room, and there are no harsh overhead fluorescents to distract players.
Sound-absorbing materials keep the room quiet, allowing players to focus on the game. Carpeted floors and upholstered walls reduce echo and background noise. Background music is kept at a low volume, and the lounge is positioned to avoid distracting noise from adjacent areas.
